Who we are

The British Sub Aqua Club was formed in 1953 and has grown to include hundreds of branches and thousands of members in the UK and worldwide.

Formed in 1975 the Bude branch of the BSAC was the 715th branch to be recognised as part of the organisation.

Our official name is "Budehaven Sub Aqua", but we're also locally known as “Bude divers”.

Bude Dive Club Members

Where We Meet

Winter training takes place in Holsworthy Pool on a Sunday afternoon, usually during March and or April.

Lectures take place over winter at local venues as and when required.

Our membership is quite diverse and brings people together from all walks of life across all age ranges. Members are aged from 14 - 75 and come from areas such as Bude, Holsworthy, Launceston, Hartland, Camelford and other surrounding areas.

Our Club House

We don't have a club house but we do have a container at Bude Self Storage

From the outside it may look like a large shed, but this deceptively small building holds our compressor and diving equipment.

Access is 24 hours to all members once they have had the required training to operate the compressor.

Our monthly meetings are held at the Falcon Hotel in Bude on the first Wednesday of the month at 2000 hrs.

Please do come and join us one evening.
